The Howard County Iron Bridge Hounds opening meet is a unique and time honored tradition featuring the annual blessing of the hounds. This is the start of the formal fox hunting season. This ritual, dating back to the Middle Ages, gathers hounds, riders, and spectators in a celebration of heritage, sport, and community. The annual Blessing of the Hounds is more than a ceremony, it's a living tradition and celebration of outdoor sporting life, friendships, and the joy of riding to hounds.
